Technical Information
Q: Where are the iron ductile grooved fittings used?
A: The fittings are used for the following:
Fire Protection, Water Supply, Drainage, HVAC and many more.
Q: Can your grooving machine groove more than what is rated at 10mm thickness?
A: No, because it will exceed its capacity. The common rule is to stay not beyond 85% of rated capacity to avoid premature breakage.
Q: What are the advantages of using a groove-type pipe joining system?
A: The advantages of using the groove-type pipe joining system are:
It is considered the current and most cost-effective pipe joining method because of the following benefits:
It has a lower labor cost and is less hazardous than the welding method. (it can avoid intense light and welding flux), and lastly, it is easy to install.
Q: Is it possible for the fittings to fit even though the grooving machine used is not the TUWEI machine you supply?
A: YES. The LEDE grooved fittings are American standard (ASTM) in size and dimension. LEDE grooved fittings are used for joining with Black Iron (B.I.) Pipe PNS 26 Heavy Gauge ASTM A53 Schedule-40
Q: What type of Rigid Coupling do you offer?
A: Tongue and Rigid (T&G)
T & G Type
The tongue and groove mechanism provides a mechanical and frictional interlock, resulting in a rigid joint that reduces undesired angular movement.
Max Working Pressure: 300 PSI / 20 Bar.
Q: What is the minimum order for free delivery?
A: For customers within Metro Manila, the delivery of items should have a minimum purchase of 30,000 pesos, while for those outside Manila, the delivery of items should have a minimum purchase of 100,000 pesos and be subject to approval and schedule.
Q: Do you accept returns of purchased items?
A: Yes, we accept returns of purchased items, but we will have a 20% restocking fee, and the items must be in good condition and subject to approval.
Q: What terms of payment do you offer for diagnosing machine repairs?
A: For pulling out of machines that was already diagnosed but not repaired, we strictly impose a 1,000 pesos diagnostic fee. Machines should be bought in our company, otherwise subject for approval.
Q: What terms of payment do you offer for pull-out machine repairs?
A: For diagnosed, repaired, or unrepaired machines, we strictly impose a cash payment that should be pulled out within a month. Otherwise, we will impose a 1,000 peso storage fee per month.
Q: What are the working pressure limitations of LEDE fittings?
A: 300 PSI = Grooved Elbow, Tee Grooved, Grooved Reducing Tee, Grooved Reducer, Grooved Reducing Cross, Bullhead Tee, Mechanical Tee Grooved, Mechanical Tee Threaded, Flexible & Rigid Coupling, Reducing Coupling
A: 232.06 PSI = Grooved Flange ANSI Class 125/150
A: 300 PSI = Flanged Adaptor ANSI Class 125/150
A: 230 PSI = Flanged Adaptor PN 10/16
Q: What is the difference between a Grooved Flange and Flanged Adaptor?
A: The grooved flange is used for connecting the fire protection pipeline for conveying water and suppression agents in fast installation; hence, it is a direct transition from the grooved end to the flanged end.
A: Flanged adaptor, meanwhile, provides a rigid transition from a flanged component to a grooved system. When it comes to connecting a flanged adapter to a grooved flange, it needs to use a coupling to connect the flange end.
Q: What is the difference between Rigid and Flexible Coupling?
A: Flexible coupling is usually used to transmit torque from one shaft to another when the two shafts are slightly misaligned. They can accommodate varying degrees of misalignment up to 1.5° and some parallel misalignment. Moreover, they can also be used for vibration damping or noise reduction.
A: On the other hand, rigid coupling is suitable when precise alignment of two shafts is required. If significant radial or axial misalignment occurs, high stresses may result, which can lead to early failure. flange end.
Q: What are the advantages of using ductile iron fittings?
A: Ductile iron has many advantages, such as: (1) it can be easily cast and machined; (2) it has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio; (3) it can be made for a much lower cost than steel; (4) it has superior castability and machinability; and (5) it provides an exceptional combination of toughness, low-cost manufacturing, and reliability.
Q: Why should I prefer LEDE products?
A: Our brands of fire protection products are proven and trusted worldwide, with certifications from UL and FM.
